About Us
Bedouin Tribe Handmade Bracelets
The Bedouin culture is filled with vibrancy and color, family and tradition, and is known for its hospitality and friendliness. This nomadic group of people who cherish the simple Red Sea Lifestyle is the creator of our exclusive handmade bracelets.
Bedouin people truly represent the Red Sea Lifestyle. They believe that living and connecting with others is more than just likes, follows, texts, and calls. It's more about the details, the memories, and what you take from every experience. Our bracelets can analyze that idea for anyone who wears them.
Bedu: The One Who Lives Out In The Open
In the Arabic language, 'bedu' refers to one who lives out in the open, in the desert. The Bedouin can make any environment their home. They have learned to harmonize with their surroundings while respecting mother nature's boundaries. Their connection with the earth is so profound that they believe it always rewards them with a place to live.
A Handmade Process & Culture
Bedouins prefer organic ways of doing things. In their culture, women are in charge of weaving and creating handmade crafts. The creative process is passed down from mother to daughter, and sharing it with others is brought into the fold. For them, it's very important to incorporate artistic expression in design, color, and pattern into their handicrafts.
The proud Bedouin women have masterfully cultivated a place where they preserve their culture, pass down the technique to their children, and share their beauty with the rest of the world, all while carving a place for themselves financially. We can proudly say that our Red Sea Lifestyle bracelets form part of this initiative to support Bedouin women.
Support South Sinai Locals
What makes South Sinai amazing isn't only its touristic appeal but its people. Since Biblical times, the Bedouins have made these lands their home showing great respect for their natural surroundings.
Handcraft projects have flourished all over Egypt over the last two decades to enable women to generate money for themselves. The distinctive and diverse handcraft designs and goods are a testament to Bedouins' rich cultural heritage. At Red Sea Lifestyle, we pride ourselves on supporting these women and the Beduin culture through our aesthetic bracelets.
What makes these bracelets special?
The simple yet complex design brings casualness and beauty. These bracelets not only have many ways to wear them but also many symbolic reasons, too. You can wear it as a bracelet or anklet, tie it to a key chain, or use them in your hair. You can give them to someone to show your love or friendship to them! Put them on and wear them until they fall off… and then put another one on! Some Bedouins believe they have good-luck properties and love to give them to one another. It’s like a friendship bracelet and good-luck charm in one! But the real special part is having a beautiful piece of jewelry that is a part of a rich culture. Maybe it helps remind us to take a break and appreciate the little things in life, like sharing a meal with friends, being adventurous, enjoying nature, and being thankful for it all!
Created in South Sinai and imported into the US by our founder Adam who knows, loves, and treasures the Bedouin culture.
